Zavien Wolfe, repesenting Youth Track and Field of Memphis and Memphis Central High of Tennessee, won the men's 17-18 triple jump with a sixth-round performance of 47-4.25 (14.43m) at the USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships at Hornet Stadium at Sacramento State. Wolfe, entering his senior year, also finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 23-8.25 (7.22m).
