Morcellous Harris, representing Youth Track and Field of Memphis and Memphis Central in Tennessee, won the boys 15-16 400-meter hurdles title in a personal-best 55.38 seconds at the USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships at Hornet Stadium at Sacramento State. Harris, entering his junior year, also placed ninth in the 100-meter dash in 11.18 seconds and 14th in the 200 meters in 22.61.
